I was trying to upgrade my version of EasySocial from 1.0 to 1.1 and it's giving me this error message (see attached). When it says to redownload the launcher does that mean to redownload the installer from the dashboard page? Let me know please, thank you!
Hi,

As described in the error message, please redownload the launcher from the dashboard page to perform the upgrade.

Yes, I looked on the dashboard page and didn't see anything about a "launcher." Does that mean to redownload the installer? I just want to make sure before time so I don't accidentally screw up what I've been working on. Thank you!

Hi - I did this and uploaded the new launcher, but I now have a number of issues. The dashboard is not functioning properly, I cannot get the user "drop-down" to function and several other (links" are unresponsive. Likewise in the back-end admin - several options appear frozen, and the contents of the admin dashboard have disappeared. I am still checking so there may be other issues.
On top of this I also have (as do most) a new user problem - but this is a J3.2 error nothing to do with Easy Social - so I am not having a good day!!
I have raised a support request (critical) so I am sure it'll soon get resolved.

regards
Alan

Hello Ashley,

The download package that you see form http://stackideas.com/dashboard is actually the launcher itself

Can you try clearing your browser's cache? Another user hit this issue and it was because the browser was caching against the old javascript and css files. If the problem still happens, create a new forum post here and provide us with both the back end and FTP access to the site so that I can investigate on it

Hi Mark,
Many thanks.. I tried clearing the cache both browser and site.. Still no joy though. There seems to be some conflict, for example in the admin - themes, wireframe I am unable to change the views - clicking the links conversations, streams etc has no effect. On the frontend - I can login but the user option dropdown on the toolbar (dashboard page) is not responding...

Thanks for looking at this so quickly - much appreciated

Hello Alan,

Hm, this is strange as I have just tried this on the site and it seems to work fine as you can see here, http://screencast.com/t/U7xCfB1P7j . Can you try performing a hard refresh by hitting the shift key and clicking on the refresh button of your browser?
