Hi there,
It says I need to update my Easy Blog software in the admin side. I'm using version 3.9.24862. It's asking for an updated API key, which I've updated on your site.
It will stop and tell me to get a new API key, after each time, while not allowing me to update without a "correct API Key". I've attached a screenshot for your use.

My username is cmclain. My current API key is 91592e0bc9a7681e9752adae9ee3f5be

Thanks for your help!

Colin
Hey Colin,

Upgrading from EasyBlog 3.9.x or older to 5.x requires a full uninstall / installation. The reason is because there are some core files which were modified in this release and running the updater would actually break things.

Rest assured that your data would not get erased when you perform an uninstall. Theme files and other core files would however get erased, so if you have made any modifications, it's best to make a backup of the modifications first.

Thanks for the quick reply Mark,
Installing version 5.0.1, what does that require? Do I need to purchase the software again? We are about five months into the year for support...

Hey Colin,

Nope, as long as your subscription is still active, you will be able to access the downloads when you access http://stackideas.com/dashboard
