I've manually run following SQL query into your site, I already help you upgrade to Easyblog latest version now.

ALTER TABLE `#__easyblog_category` ADD INDEX `idx_category_alias_id` (`alias` (200), `id`);

Can you give it a check is it everything work fine now?

Hey Jose,

You actually can't use that Easyblog 3.9 updater to update to Easyblog 5, you can refer on our documentation here how to upgrade to Easyblog 5 from 3.9 .

https://stackideas.com/docs/easyblog/administrators/upgrades/upgrade-easyblog-3-9-to-easyblog-5

If the issue still persists, can you provide us with your Joomla backend and FTP access at http://stackideas.com/dashboard/site so we can better have a check?

I'm getting on both the full installer and the launcher packet an error 500 Specified key was too long;

What can be causing this?
