I am trying to run the updater on the backend of my website, and it keeps hanging up at the API.

It gives me the following error:

Error Please enter the correct API key. You may generate it from

I have generated my API about 5 times and tried again and again to make this work with no success.

Any idea on why the updater does not like my API key?
Hey Kyle,

Upgrading from EasyBlog 3.8.x or older to 5.x requires a full uninstall / installation. The reason is because there are some core files which were modified in this release and running the updater would actually break things.

Rest assured that your data would not get erased when you perform an uninstall. Theme files and other core files would however get erased, so if you have made any modifications, it's best to make a backup of the modifications first.
