Hi,

When I did a files & folder comparison between fresh installed website & newly updated website, I found out that there is so many files with a different content/code. I thought that all updated site should have a new and updated files. Did I missing something obvious here?

Is that normal?

Both website is installed & updated with the current version of EB, ED & ES.

Please see my attached files.

Thanks.
As long as that is fresh installation, all the files and folder should show the latest code.

If you update through single click updater, it will only copy those changes file between your current version and latest version.

In other word, if your current version is 3.1.4 (Easysocial), then our developer fixed some issue related some of the files in internally, it will only copy these fixes files from our server then override into your site Easysocial files when you update through single click updater.

This is new for me A different between a Single Click Updater and Full Package. I think this should be mention somewhere in Documentation.

In EasySocial, no wonder there's a lot of application with an outdated version when using a Single Click Updater. I think this is a correct behavior. See my screenshot of some of a different version when using Single Click Updater vs Full Package Installation. So this seems like the version notification is not working for applications.

Please see attach image.

Is this correct? Please advice, thanks.

Hello Syabab,

EasySocial apps aren't updated through the single click updater because chances are, you are going to hit the time out in php because there are going to be a lot of apps updated. The best way to update is from the Apps section at the back end.
