Hi,

It tried to upgrade an existing installation (3.9.24862) to 5.0.190000.

When using the integrated updater, the update fails with the error message that MD5 checksums are not ok.

Using the default extension manager, the installation of the downloaded installation package (com_easyblog_full_pro_5.0.19_joomla3.0.zip) works.
But when I then go to Components -> EasyBlog I'm asked to perform the update which again fails when it tries to download some files. (Again with an MD5 error).

Any ideas / suggestions?
Hey Marco,

Easyblog 3.9x updater is not work upgrade to Easyblog 5.

You have to download the latest launcher installer from your dashboard http://stackideas.com/dashboard then upload through in your Joomla installer.

If the issue still persists, can you provide us with your Joomla backend and FTP access so we can help you check on this?

I fell into this trap today too.

EB 3.x tells you there's an update. I didn't notice that update was to 5.x series.

Could you with some form of warning.

Your solution works, but now on my home page all of the images in my blog posts are doubled. When you open the post they are correct. see: http://www.zenscientist.com - any fix for this?

Hey Breck,

Can you download the attached file and upload it into /administrator/components/com_easyblog/includes/truncater/ and let me know if you are still hitting this issue?

Hi Arlex,

update went through for me as well, but I have the "double image" issue as well.
I uploaded truncater.php to the directory, but nothing changed.
Do I need to do something with it?

Hi Mark,

I "quick fixed" this by adding
div.eb-post-body p img { display:none;}
to the stylesheet.
But I hope there is a permanent solution for this

Cheers,
Marco

Hi Arlex,

I just saw, that I uploaded the .php to the wrong directory (../truncater/ was missing)
My bad!
Now the images are displayed only once after removing the custom CSS.
Thanks again for your help!

Cheers,
Guido
