Hey there,

Can you include your backend and FTP access once at http://stackideas.com/dashboard/site so that we can have a better check of it?

i am sorry, but i dont want external support staff on our site.

We also don't have any FTP Access available anymore. FTP is dead since ages.

it would be nice to get an update only file, that i can download and try to install via the joomla backend

or maybe you tell me what you wanna look for or check.

thank you

by the way:

Hello,

Hm, this error is just a php notice and should not affect the installation of Komento at all. Based on the error message that you have provided, it looks like PHP was not able to extract the zip file for some reasons.

By the way, it seems like you are trying to install an older version, is that correct?

Hi, does not matter which version i try to extract:

Fehler
Die Datei konnte nicht entpackt werden: komento_to_4.0.2

for testing i installed JCE Editor without any issues.

german language file also got an update and went trough without any problems.

for the komento update i turned on joomla site debugging and only have some dublicated database requests.

so.... i have no idea.

Hey T.S.,

Honestly, it is very difficult for us to find out where goes wrong and what is the root cause without your backend and FTP access.

Here's what you can try:
1. Ensure that all the folders' permission are writeable except for the configuration.php as shown in the screenshot. https://monosnap.com/file/XmdbwKxic0prjdY5aWlybxztPIkfa2
2. Create a new folder call 'komento' under your tmp folder so the path will be JoomlaFolder/tmp/komento.
3. Then put this komento full installer zip file into this komento folder that you created in the tmp folder.
4. Extract the zip file in it.
5. Go to Joomla Install and select 'Install from Folder'(Rmb to modify the path to the komento folder) as shown in the screenshot for an example. https://monosnap.com/file/mWXALE6YQU05eVaTaIPM7kfNsW0l3O
6. Press the 'check and install' button to try to install.
7. Let us know whether install success or not. If not, let us know what is the full error of it with a full screenshot.

P.s. Ensure that your backend is in English language so that we can have a better understanding of it. Also, ensure that your 'Debug System' is enabled and 'Error Reporting' is set to Max at your backend's Global configuration before you test it.

Well one after another
jom2.png

Well we are here for 10 min, and i guess my site will be dead after the installation attempt

so i am extracting my backup already.

well i waited for another 10 min. and nothing happens.

so i cancelt the installation and guess what:

i am up to date...

so i guess it's time to remove komento, because no error message, no nothing in the debug log.

I believe you are hitting an error when it reached there during the installation.

Here's what you can do:

1. Ensure that your 'Debug System' is enabled and 'Error Reporting' is set to 'Max' at your backend's Global configuration
2. Open the browser's developer tool by right click once on your mouse and select 'Inspect'.
3. Go to the 'Network' tab.
4. Install the Komento 4 again.
5. Once it reached 'Initializing Database Synchronization', you should see the left arrow that I pointed is in red, open it and see what is the error on its preview content as shown in the screenshot for an example. https://monosnap.com/file/E2IlaukH4dyvpGF8f68xzJcJDL7Rao
6. Let us know what is the full error with a full screenshot of it.
