I have the latest (old) version of EasyBlog (3.9.24862) set up and integrated with EasySocial, EasyDiscuss and Komento.

I avoided using it on the site as I was waiting for EasyBlog5, so only have the setup single article, set up single category and set up modules (Categories, Archive, Image Wall, Latest Blogs, Most Popular Post, New Post, Select List, Showcase, Tag Cloud), although no EasyBlog modules have been used.

I also have the set blog menu and a new post menu.

Therefore it is basically the default set up apart from the admin information changes in EasyBlog and the other Stackideas products to include all my own relevant information and allow integration.

Question

I noted the install issues in the forum, would it be better to update to EB5 over my current version or uninstall 3.9.24862 and make a fresh install of EB5?
Hi Richard,

Regarding the installation already solved in the latest version 5.0.7.

Note : You have to backup before only upgrade Easyblog 5 from 3.9, that would be safe and prevent other conflict thing happening.

Hi Howard Sambol,

It sound like you hitting file permission issues, can you provide us with your Joomla backend and FTP access so we can help you check on this?

Thanks. It is resolved. One of the support techs here installed it for me. He said i needed to use the full package rather than just the component but when i downloaded full package it unzipped it. I'm good to go for now.
