Hey Alex,

Can you update your Joomla backend and FTP access at http://stackideas.com/dashboard/site so we can better have a check?

Hi,
I updated the login information.
Also I got have the issues (after the failed/ stuck update) that the language strings are not parsed in the frontend (see attachment)
Do you have an idea why?
Is there a option to download the easy social package and the language package to upload it manually?

Hi Alex,

You can try the method as outlined here

If that doesn't work, I would like to investigate this but am unable to load your test site(http://take.ms/Om2Xf).

Please advice. Thanks.

Hi Raymond,

1) the update is working if I download the package directly

2) But the package contains only the englisch language file and I don't know where to download the german language file

3) I don't know why the access to the website access does not work. Maybe the domain is blocked in your country. The guys who did the template from India can access the site without any problem. So I don't really know how to change this as I do not have a second domain.

--> Can you provide me the german language file? as the automated language function does not work for me at the moment

Best Alex

Hey Alex,

Thanks for updating us on your update and glad to know its working.

For the language file, actually you can download the language from the language section of EasySocial backend in your licensed domain. Then copy over the language file from that site and paste it into the same directory of your test site(http://take.ms/r2wXd).

JoomlaFolder/language/de-DE/de-DE.com_easysocial.ini
JoomlaFolder/administrator/language/de-DE/de-DE.com_easysocial.ini

I solved it the following way:

1) download the package manually and install on localhost
2) change one license domain to localhost
3) install the language on localhost
4) install the manual package on webhost
5) copy the language file from local host to webhost

I still don't know why the online update and language update is not working from the webhost

Hey Alex,

There is a possibility that your web host is preventing outgoing connections from the script for some reason but if you need us to investigate, let us know as we can't access the test site.
