Hi there,

I suspected it is most probably hitting an error: "Invalid API key provided". Perhaps, you can try opening the downloaded file: download_id_3466 from your site to see what is the error.

Would it be possible to provide us with backend and FTP access so we can assist you further on this issue.

Thanks.

Correct. The file has one line of text in it: "Invalid API key provided"

I cannot give backend access as the site has PII and I'd be violating California law by allowing access to users' data.

So where would this API key be?

Hi there,

I'm sorry for the inconvenience caused.

May I know, have you installed this plugin: https://stackideas.com/apps/item/3465-stackideas-app-store-updater. If not, kindly download this and have it installed on your site.

Once installed, try running the update again and let us know how it goes. If the issue still persists, kindly open the downloaded file and let us know what is the error displayed there.

Hope this helps.
Thanks.

After installing the plugin, I now get this:

Failed to extract file: download_id_3466_apikey_191842c656159a15c1a10fd8c0c5c981_domain_http://www.thechipwitch.com

This is on a domain that is NOT my "supported domain." Will auto updates just only be allowed on the one supported domain?

Hello Christopher,

For free modules such as the toolbar, the single click updater is not restricted to the supported domain. I have applied some fixes on our site, can you give this a try again?

I'm having this same issue. Domain is not tied to my user id, it is cndltd.com and cnd.dgiss.co.uk. It's my understanding the account owner added cnd.dgiss.co.uk to the supported domains.

Suggestions?

I downloaded the installer and ran it on cnd.dgiss.co.uk (our dev environment). It seemed to work, but now if I go to EasyBlog from the components menu I see the EasyBlog Installer page and a failure on the Extracting Component Files step.

If I look at Joomla! updates, there is an update for toolbar, when I try to run it I get the above failure, with the "Invalid API Key provided" line in the file.

Hello Michele,

It looks like all of your licenses has already expired and they expired on 2019 and 2020. Am I missing anything here? If you have an issue with downloading the latest version but already renewed your subscription, kindly please start a new ticket so that I may help you to check on your license.

Hi Mark,

Thanks for the response on a Friday night!

Domains are not tied to my user id, they are cndltd.com and cnd.dgiss.co.uk. I am not the account owner, but I do the maintenance.
It's my understanding the account owner added cnd.dgiss.co.uk to the supported domains.

Account owner should be Andy Cuff, he says the license for the domains is good until 13 April 2022.

I'm having the same issue, although my license was renewed in November and the domain is correct. I just get the error message "Failed to extract file: easyblog_to_6.0.2_from_5.4.13_key_****_domain_dullesdistrict.com"

Hello Dave,

Upgrading from v5 to v6 is a major upgrade and you need to download the installer from the dashboard and install it just like how you initially installed EasyBlog.

You can follow the guide here, https://stackideas.com/docs/easyblog/administrators/upgrades/upgrading-to-easyblog-6
