You should be able to install the new version over the old. Given the bug reports, however, I do highly recommend making a backup of your site so you can also try a fresh install. It's fair to note that there are successful installs via overriding the old version.

I just try to install the package I donwload on the website com_easyblog_component_pro_5.0.7_joomla3.0.zip
But I was not able to install it.

I got an error message about xml file not existing, so I open the zip file and I there was no XML file inside

Any help will be nice

I've found my error, I download the wrong package
So this time with Launcher I was able to install it.
