The last 2 updates both caused 500 errors while doing the installation what's changed?
Had to restore backups? manual install does the exact same thing.
the error appears at this URL call the whole site goes down

https://yoursaskatoon.com/administrator/index.php?option=com_installer&view=install
have restored back up again and only
Rob
I think i have figured it out. I believe it's a JCE issue, not yours if I switch editors to yours it does work.
Jce has left image unselectable on many upgraded sites so it must not be JCE not ready for 3.7

Hello Greg,

If you are updating to 5.1.5 you shouldn't hit any issues any longer. Anyway, we managed to track down these issues and it all goes back to version 3.x of EasyBlog.

Can you remove the file /administrator/components/com_easyblog/easyblog.16.xml and easyblog.30.xml and try installing again? If you want, we can perform the installation for you, let us know.

Don't mean to jump this thread but I am getting 404 errors and the upgrade would not even install - received a white screen during installation. Had to spend 2 hours re-imaging the server. First time this has ever happened with EasyBlog.

I just removed the whole component until you think this is straightened out. Should I still try with the version that is in my dashboard?

Regards,
Rob

This update as well has left images in blogs unselectable in the composer.

Hello Greg,

How can I reproduce the image issue on your end?

Hello Greg,

Hm, this is odd as it seems to be working fine for me. Please take a look at my screen shot here,

Good to know Greg and I am relieved that we finally got down to the bottom of this. We have learnt the lesson the hard way but at least we can now understand why some installations are so erratic!
