Is there a way that i can install part of the update but not it's entirety? I want to have the profile completion check for frontend views on there but I do not want the other updates so that it wont mess with the other customizations that I have already made for my site. Thanks

Ashley,

I believe that you would have to install the full ES update, so I recommend you post more information about the modifications you have made and ask community members and the StackIdeas staff what the best approach would be to create customization Overrides so you do not have to fuss over losing your changes each time there is an update to ES.

I would break the changes down into a list and give an explanation of the specific area(s) of the ES extension that you have modified.

example:

1. I have made some customizations to the EasyBlog Stream. Specifically in the area of the following areas;

News Feed + Add Filter - list and explain the files you have modified
Me & Friends - - list and explain the files you have modified
Everyone - - list and explain the files you have modified
Following - - list and explain the files you have modified

How can I create a customization Overrides so I do not lose my changes each time I update EasySocial?

There are lots of knowledgeable members in the community that have been modifying EasySocial, and I am sure they would be willing to offer assistance to you and other members.

Hi,

Unfortunately it is not possible because a lot of the changes are core related.
