Hello,
I’m looking for a few opinions from people who have successfully done this. I would like to make video-chat a free feature on my website.
- Is video chat already part of the EasySocial product offering? If it’s due soon e.g. with version 1.3, does anyone know how soon?
- I know there’s this offering which will apparently ‘soon’ have the ability for group chat as well: http://stackideas.com/apps/item/40-webrtc-videochat-for-easysocial . Can anyone recommend any alternatives that they have successfully implemented to work with EasySocial.

I know there is a lot of talk about upcoming updates/releases etc. but I’d really like to get my project running in July sometime. If anyone can offer any opinions/insight it would be appreciated!
Thank you,
Ryan.
hey ryan,
currently easysocial doesn't have it's own video-chat and it's also not on the roadmap for upcoming versions.

but there are already some chats (with and without video) that are integrating with easysocial out of the box like:
webrtc (that you mentioned)
jbolo (no video, but group) from techjoomla: http://techjoomla.com/products/jbolo
jchat (including skype video) form storejoomla: http://storejoomla.org/extensions/jchatsocial_professional.html
cometchat (includes video) : http://www.cometchat.com

just to name a few. hope this helps you get started
