Unsuccessful version update

Hello.

I've tried to upgrade to a newer version of EasyDiscuss, but something went wrong and now the extension is now not working properly, and it does not offer a quick guide to a new update.

Please advise how to update EasyDiscuss without crashing or overriding the existing forum.

Great! It's working well now, thaks for your quick help.
Just another question - we're getting a lot of spam (a lot of false users posting bogus posts), how can we manage that?

Hi there,

You can manage them at Backend>Components>Easydiscuss>ACL and go to Guest and Public, then disable 'Post New Question' under "Post" tab as you can see here http://take.ms/I9APR.

Please give it a try and see how it goes

Hi Abdul,
Yes, we have that setting, so only the registered users can post, but there is a lot of registered new spam users.
Is that even possible via robots or is that something spammers do by hand? How could we lower the spam % further?

Hi there,

Maybe you can apply those anti-spam on our site on Bacjend>Components>Settings>Antispam as shown http://take.ms/S9V9K. It will lower those percentage of spammer on your site.

Please give it a try first and see how it goes
