Hi,
I have the option turned on to send a blog out to my members upon a new blog post. Some members have asked to be removed from this emailing. Is there a way that I can do this for them?

Michael
Hello Michael,

You can delete the subscribers in Backend>Easydiscuss>Subscription: http://screencast.com/t/D0Mlbqpp3 . Hope this helps.

Nik,
Actually this doesn't work. By turning on the "send to everyone" option members actually can't unsubscribe.
This is a REALLY important feature that I'm surprised that EasyBlog doesn't have and sadly, now I'm at the point of evaluating whether I will continue with it.
1. New members need to be automatically subscribed to a main site blog upon sign up. They have signed up to the terms of the site which includes this.
2. Those members need to be able then unsubscribe from the emails if they want to an not have to close their accounts to stop the emails.

Hello Michael,

Correct me if I'm wrong, your situation is some of your subscribers don't want to receive email notification and ask you to delete their email from subscribers list? I've tried in my local to delete the subscriber as shown in the previous reply and it worked. Can you provide us your backend and FTP to check this? Also, we do have the Unsubscribe link in the email so the receiver can unsubscribe it from there: http://screencast.com/t/fvwaqdrn .

At the moment to get around the problem of not being able to have members automatically subscribed to my blog I have turned on the "notify all members on new entries" in Notifications.

If this is turned on then no matter if the member selects "unsubscribe" in the email they will not be unsubscribed.

Yes that correct.
You can turning this off and let the user choose whether they want to subscribe or not. If subscribe, they will receive the notification.

Hope I explain this well. If you have anymore question, please don't hesitate to ask us.
Please be advise.
Thanks.

This is incredibly frustrating and it may mean that I need to move to a different blogging platform.
I can see in the support a number of other threads requesting the same thing so I'm really surprised that this is not possible.

If someone signs up then they should be subscribed to a blog of my choice. If they don't want to receive it anymore then they should be able to unsubscribe. I have no idea why this isn't part of such an extensive blogging platform like EasyBlog. Will it be implemented in the future and if so when?

I really have to make a decision on this.

Hello Michael,

We are sorry. The option Notify All Members will check the list of your Joomla user and send to all of them regardless if they are subscribed or not. Unless you turn off this option and let your user choose to subscribe or not. Sorry for this inconvenience.

Hello Michael Gilmour,

Unfortunately we do not have this option for when the user doing the registration automatically subscribe in the site

If the user manually subscribe the site or discussion post thread, it will be show in your user "My subscription list".
