Hi

I noticed a large number of registered users i have not permitted to blog - they are not making posts but I have a feeling they maybe robots, which could have caused my site to exceed it's limit on monthly executions.... i have permitted about 7 users to blog but there are tons more i do not recognized.

thanks
In the backend - click on Users ---> User Manager ----> Click on options in the right hand corner and then see image.

Hello Nick,

So sorry for the delay in getting back to you. Seems like your webservice is temporarily limited. May I have an example of the users you feel are spammer/robots? Also if they are registered user please make sure your EasyBlog settings for backend -> EasyBlog -> ACL -> Registered are set correctly. This means that the "Write entry" option is set to NO. If this is set to NO then the users won't be able to create any blog post. Hope this helps.

Thanks!

Hi

It's fine as theyre not submitting posts but the large numer of registered users is also increasing the executions which i have exceeded - is it possible to prevent anyone registering at all unless i approve it??

thanks

Hello Nick,

So sorry for the delay in getting back to you. EasyBlog actually does not handle the registration process. We just link it to the core Joomla registration function. You can however check out the settings in backend -> Users -> Manage User. Here click on "Options" and you will be able to check out the options Joomla has here for registration restrictions Hope this helps.

Thanks!
