Hi

I've just upgraded to EasyBlog 5.0.7 on Joomla 3.4.1 and when showing the "(Posts) Frontpage" view on my website, I see the list of recent blogs and the number of Comments on each one.

However, when I click on the 'Comments' icon for any of the blogs, I cannot see any of the comments.

Can you please advise who to resolve this?

Thanks
Hi Shane,

I've enable the settings at BackEnd > Settings > Comments > Integrations > Built in comments: Yes
and it seems to be working fine now.
Check my screen shot: http://screen.stackideas.com/build_in_comments.png

Hi Shane,

I think you need to adjust your comment settings in order to enable your comment. Please go to this page

Joomla Backend > Components > Easyblog > Layout > Comments

From here you have the control of the comments appearance & behaviour for EasyBlog. See attachment for reference: http://screencast.com/t/8wFPEcVFZwP

Hope this will help, thank you.

Hi

Comments are enabled, and the number of comments are shown below the blog entry (see attached example).

But I'm unable to see the actual comments - either when I open the blog story or when I click on the Comments button.

Thanks

Hello Shane,

Perhaps you can provide us with your Joomla backend and FTP access so we can check on the issue directly?

Please advise.

Hi,

I'd prefer not to... are there any other options?

Thanks

Hello Shane,

Hm. Without any direct access to your site its quite hard to tell what is the cause of your issue as we cannot replicate it in our local instance, http://screen.stackideas.com/2015-06-19_1307.png , http://screen.stackideas.com/2015-06-19_1308.png . Perhaps you can post the screenshot of your comment settings here and hopefully we can see what went wrong?

Please advise.

Hi

Here are screenshots for the Comments Settings and a Front-end view of a comment created by one Registered user and being viewed by another Registered user - note there is no option to even add a comment.

Thanks
Shane

Hi Shane,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here.

Yes, as what my colleague said that we are hard to tell you what is the issues causing this comment system didn't show out in your blog post unless you provide us with your Joomla backend and FTP access so we can help you check on this.

*You can put the information in the optional information field below(SITE DETAILS). Don't worry about privacy. Only Support team can view the information.

By the way, before you provide us with your site access, can you edit that blog post and check is it enabled "allow comment" option from your composer? Check my screenshot below.
