Hi
I was having an issue with Easyblog professional, the bloggers editor choice field was being ignored, and defaulting to an html editor.

I noticed I was out running a slightly older version (3.6.13506) and tried to use the updater, however is failed because it could not find CURL support. I host on Amazon AWS.

So instead I downloaded com_easyblog_3.9.15110_paid_j2.5.zip and tried to install using the joomla extension manager, the installed with this error:

SQL=ALTER TABLE `xyxm_easyblog_acl_group` ADD INDEX `acl_grp_acl_type` ( `acl_id`, `type` )

and now easyblog appears to have been trashed, the easyblog administration panel is no longer available, oh in fact its trashed the user panel too, I cannot add you as a new user.

please advise
thank you, that has fixed it, I will remove VideoBox, its been taken down from Joomla extensions for containing backlinks.

thanks for your help

Ben

Hi
I will chase down ftp access although it might be little tricky as the site uses .pem keyfiles for security (standard on amazon) instead of passwords.

I have found an admin login details you can use.

yes I know the backend is inaccessible, it wasn't before I attempted the update.

OK sending attachment again, if you don't receive it, could you give me an email address to use instead.

You need to access the server via ssh, format ssh -i <pem file> joomla@<dns address>

I have added the details in the optional information.

Hello Ben,

Can you please provide us with the password for the SSH key? It looks like your dsa file is protected with a passphrase.

Hi, I have tried the key, needed to add the user to the ssh string, I have placed it in the optional information. I also changed the keys file permissions :

chmod 400 temp_key_for_joomla_fix.pem

Thank you, its great the site is working again, and I appreciate your responsiveness.

However the original problem still exists, the blog user Mike cannot set an editor and can no longer edit posts . (apparently he gets an html editor and no save)

Ideally I would like easy blog to use the default Arto Editor, but setting up the editor entry in Mikes blogger profile does not seem to have any effect.

This is what i was updating for, hoping it was fixed.

Hello Ben,

I've checked your backend and seems like this issue is came from plugin VideoBox. I've disabled the plugin and the editor is displayed correctly. Please have a look.
