Although I have entered correct API I am unable to update.
Please advise
Thanks
Jim
To update to EasyBlog 3.9 you cannot use the updater, you need to uninstall the previous version and then install the latest. I just updated my installation and it works fine.

Does this leave blog posts intact?

yes, absolutely - your posts aren't touched during the update.
however, whenever doing an update or something like this it's still highly recommended to do a backup first

Just found this in another thread, confirmed, yes your blog content will remain:

Hello,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here. Upgrading from EasyBlog 3.8.x or older to 3.9.x requires a full uninstall / installation. The reason is because there are some core files which were modified in this release and running the updater would actually break things.

Rest assured that your data would not get erased when you perform an uninstall. Theme files and other core files would however get erased, so if you have made any modifications, it's best to make a backup of the modifications first.
