Unable to start a new message from user profile

When on a user profile, the email icon does not open Conversekit and begin a new message. Users are having a very hard time beginning messages.
Hi Bethany,
I noticed you have an older version of Conversekit installed.
Can you try installing the latest Conversekit first so we can rule out the plugin being outdated?

I updated the plugin and the functionality is restored. That did NOT fix it prior to the database restore, but it did today, so that's great.
