I am trying to set up new blog authors and when I hit the save button, I am getting a red line and x, but it doesn't save. I just upgraded to Easyblog 5. Attached is the screen screen.
Hello James,

I get this when trying to access your backend: Username and password do not match or you do not have an account yet. By the way, can you also provide us your FTP access?

Hi James,

I just tried to create new author from your backend and it seems like everything is working fine here from my end. Check my screenshot here, http://screencast.com/t/Fg50QzBUKL4r . Am I missing something here? Please advise.

I don't get it. Last night I tried several times and could not get it to save. Now it works. Sorry to bother you. And thank you for looking into it.

OK, so I am able to set up a new author but when I go into it, the username ( including the one you set up) automatically populates with my admin user name. Why doesn't the username that was set up for the author appear on the setup page?

Hi James,

I am sorry for the delay of this reply.

I'm not quite understand what do you mean by the username automatically populates with your admin user name. Do you mean that whenever you created a new author, the username will automatically become your admin username? If that so if seems like I am not able to reproduce the issue as the username test user that I've created before is showing the correct username as you can see from my screenshot here, http://screencast.com/t/P3qcKcsIJXWc .

Hi Ezrul,

When I open up the authors tab, yes the correct username is populated in that column. However, when I click on the author to make changes/additions, then the username that is populated is the admin. It is very strange. And the problem is when I change it to the correct username, I have to always add the passcodes. If it doesn't save, which most the time it doesn't, all of the information I added is gone, and I have to start over. Attached is a screen shot of your blog with my admin in the username.

Thank you

Hi James,

I don't have any idea how can I replicate your issue here . You can refer to my video link here for clearer view, http://screencast.com/t/rXqArDCx68da . May I know which browser you are using to reproduce the issue? In my video I'm using chrome browser. I've also tried to use firefox browser and not hitting similar issue as yours.

My computer OS is Ubuntu 14.4. I am using the latest version of Chrome. I don't know, it just seems like I am having some bugs with the software.

I just went to set up a new latest blog module from scratch by clicking on new module, and then easyblog latest blog module, and the configuration page is not coming up. Attached is what I am getting. I can use the preset one in the list of modules but I need more than just one. I realize I can copy and modify a module but it still appears I have a bug of some sort.

By the way, all these problems started when I upgraded to 3.9 to 5.

I think I found part of the problem. I am using LastPass on my browser. When I turn it off, the username comes up as you. When I've logged on to Lastpass, it populates mine. Hmmmm... I'll look at my lastpass settings, but I didn't have the problem until I upgraded.

Hey James,

Thanks for getting back to us on this. Hm, perhaps you could try switching off lastpass first and see if there are any issues after that?

I logged off Last past but it didn't change. I am wondering if I have a conflict with an extension. Have you tried opening a new latest blog module from your end on my site?

Hey James,

I just created a new author called "test author" on your site without any issues. Not really sure how to replicate this issue
