I purchased EB today. I am using Joomla! 3.9.11

My site is currently localhost so I am unable to share the URL

I migrated all my content from my old website to my new website following this guide https://stackideas.com/docs/easyblog/administrators/migrations/migrating-to-a-different-joomla-site

When I login to the Joomla back end and select EB > Settings > General I am unable to select any of the tabs along the top (location / rss / subscriptions / etc). I can click on them and the browser URL changes, but the page content doesn't change.

The same issue whenever I select Settings > Comments and any tab - none of the tabs work.

I have tried clearing my joomla and browser cache, cookies, and tried a different browser.

When I look at the browser console I can see the following errors;

GET http://localhost/dodnew/media/com_easyblog/scripts/admin-5.3.2-basic.min.js net::ERR_ABORTED 404 (Not Found)

Also, when I view the blog on the front end of the website I see the following notice at the top of the page;

Notice: Trying to get property 'query' of non-object in C:\xampp\htdocs\dodnew\components\com_easyblog\router.php on line 648

Can you help?
Think it's sorted, I re-installed EB.

I also changed the routing to default, it was set to an old menu ID

Hi Johnny,

Regarding your issue, look like the required EasyBlog javascript files are not being loaded or, there are javascript conflict on your Joomla backend with EasyBlog. From the console log, this file is missing 'http://localhost/dodnew/media/com_easyblog/scripts/admin-5.3.2-basic.min.js'.

Can you try to reinstall EasyBlog and see if that help or not. If problem persist, then I think best is you setup a test site online so that we can check your issue remotely.

Please advise.

Hi Sam,

I think you're right. When I migrated my content I moved the /media/com_easyblog folders and all of their contents as per the instructions. However I don't think all the scripts migrated success fully.

I have copied the media/com_easyblog/scripts/admin-5.3.2-basic.min.js script manually and now it works, the errors are gone, but when I click on a blog in the front end I simply see a white page.

Should I still proceed with a re-install? Also, is this simply running the launcher package again? Will I lose any content?

Thanks
