Hi again, I changed the theme to Zinc and now I'm not getting the add post button at all in the front-end. The save buttons still don't work on the edit page regardless of the theme or Joomla template used. JCE seems to be working now.

I finally figured out what was responsible for the behaviour, we have a plugin installed that moves all the scripts to the footer but that sometimes makes them not work correctly so then they need to be excluded. After I excluded Easyblog, it started working correctly. However, there's still the issue of the lack of Add Entry button in the Zinc template. I could try to use a different theme tomorrow however I love how clean Zinc is so would be great to be able to use it.

I believe it is the layout designed for Zinc theme. If you wish to add the button, here I have attached to you a file, please download it and put it here: .../components/com_easyblog/themes/zinc/toolbar.php

Thanks for this, this theme seems to have a lot of stuff tucked away in the toolbar that you don't see when you access the blog first but I'm getting the hang of things and creating an override of it to suit my needs.
