The automatic saving of drafts does not work properly and stops after an initial 1 or 2 saves with the last save removing all content from the post.

When i try to save a draft manually, or publish a post i have edited, all content disappears during the draft saving process.

If i copy and paste content (even as plain text), i am able to continue changing content and adding blocks etc, but the automatic draft updates stop and any changes i make cannot be saved or published.

The problem is in the front end and admin area.

If you could fix the problem please as i need to update to GDPR.
Update

I added content word by word to see if the text content was causing the problem and everything was fine until this part of a sentence was added:

Although the GDPR is only for European Union citizens

I can save a draft with any combination of the above words except when 'European Union citizens' is used together. European citizens is fine, but if i add the word 'Union' in between them all content is removed in the draft saving process.

Note: The 3 words appeared in the third sentence of the revised privacy policy, which is probably why all draft updates did not work after one or two successful automatic updates.

I changed the wording to "Although the GDPR is only for certain countries" and everything is fine, but It is very strange, perhaps you could check if there is a bug with that combination of words?

Hey Richard,

I tried to create a test post and saved the post as draft and it doesn't seem to have any problems. Take a look at the draft post "test". Am I testing this incorrectly?

Hi Mark,

Apart from the three word issue yesterday everything has been working normally and i copied the intro for our Privacy Policy to the test (the intro is our most recent blog post and has the 3 words), just now, saved it six times and everything worked, so i am unable to re-create the error in the test post.

It could be a combination of things that just happened to coincide at the time i was adding the words as I had changed the date from 2015 to 25 May 2018 and copied a version from a draft i created on MS Word (copied with paste text only) and was moving blocks around in the post, so I may have copied in the problem and not realised it.

If it happens again i will try and isolate the exact steps i took beforehand but looking at it again today I do not think there is an issue with EasyBlog, so will mark the thread resolved as everything is working correctly.

A puzzle this one....

Thanks for updating me on this. I do think that there is a security plugin in place which is probably having some false positive reports. Anyway, if you are able to reproduce this, please do start a new ticket and let us know
