Hi,
I am unable to post video on my timeline and dashboard - it says encoding video.... and it never encoded
Email notifications are not working having updated the cron jobs
when pictures are uploaded in the album it doesn't sync with facebook
Hi Femi,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply. I am able to access your FTP but It seems like the provided joomla access is not working for me. Please advise.

I am sorry that delay of this reply,

What my colleague mean is he unable to login in your Frontend and backend, it seems like you provided that login credential is not working.

By the way, may i know what video you trying to upload?

And what do you mean by `when pictures are uploaded in the album it doesn't sync with facebook`?

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as we have been overwhelmed with the support since the release of easysocial 1.4 and we are currently short handed.

I've tried to login in your Joomla backend, but It seems like you provided that user account do not have permission to access.
Warning
You do not have access to the Administrator section of this site.


In the meanwhile, can you check with your ffmped path is it set correctly from backend > Easysocial > settings > video , regarding this path you have to consult with your Webhosting provider get the correct ffmped path from your server.

Hey femi,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here. The reason that the registration is not working is because your profile type is configured to not allow users to register. I have re-configured the profile type for you and it works fine now.

As for the video uploading issue, can you please ask your hosting provider which version of FFMpeg is installed on the server? EasySocial requires at least version 2.6.x

Thanks for helping Mark,

My host company dnt allow ffmpeg on shared server and vps - I will have to create my own dedicated server.

However, email notifications are still not going thru - I think the cron job is not working

only things i post on timeline shows on facebook - photo uploaded in the album doesn't show.

I am sorry for the delay of this reply,

I've checked with your cronjob issue, it seems like you have setup the `Secure cronjob key` from your Easysocial backend configuration page, so your cron command should be include that `Secure cronjob key` e.g. (I also help you temporary setup a secure key for that)


/usr/bin/wget -O /dev/null "http://xxxx.com/index.php?option=com_easysocial&cron=true&phrase=xxxxxx"


Regarding with your second question :
please what do you have to say about albums not automaticatlly showing up on facebook?
I would like eveything that shows up on my timeline shows on my facebook time line not just some of them

I have a little bit lost here, do you mean when you upload a photo from your Easysocial stream then it will not appear on your Facebook user profile? If yes,can you provide us with your Facebook account access so we can better have a look?

By the way, I am not really sure I understand what you mean for the sync album/photo with your Facebook account, by default when a new user account sign in via Facebook from your site, it will import the user avatar and cover photo from their Facebook account into Easysocial, then other album will not import in your Easysocial user account.

I already help you put your site logo file into -> /public_html/templates/shaper_helix_ii/html/com_easysocial/emails/logo.png

Actually you no need do anything else is because I already help you configured correctly, what I mean that temporary key is just a secure key, may i know your site user is it got receive email notification?
