Hello,

I'm getting this issue "Unable to parse server response." with the Media Manager in the backend and frontend when trying to upload or set an image. I also get the same error when trying t o upload a photo to an album with EasySocial.

I've very recently had my current site's hosting upgraded, so not sure if it's a DNS issue still or what? I also uploaded my Joomla install directly from my local install that used Xampp. I changed around what settings I could think of to reflect the new directories.

Please advise what could be causing this on my server?

I searched the forum and found similar issues, most involved you guys going in and changing settings... so I imagine that's what needs to happen with my setup.
Hello Sean,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here.
I have help you installed that latest version of EasySocial using install from directory method (EasySocial Full Package). Please have a check.

Hello Sean,

When accessing http://ghostsstory.com/Evovolved it seems to display a Page Not Found error I tried to login on this page but it says username / password not found.

Hello Sean,

Hm, this is really odd because when I tried to upload an image, it works out fine. See my screen shot here, http://screencast.com/t/IZSuWelD0 . Perhaps the image that you were trying to upload was too large? Can you send the image here so that I can try this out?

Hey Mark. Well then...you're correct. I just uploaded 6 files 3 in the front end 3 in the backend with now, no issues whatsoever. Very odd. I'm thinking that maybe my web hosting upgrade wasn't fully migrated over yet. Odd indeed.

I do have one more issue though,:

I can't install the latest update of EasySocial due to Zip Library not being found. I asked my host about this. I had followed the instructions to alter my php.ini file accordingly as instructed from this page: http://docs.stackideas.com/administrators/setup/zip_library

EasySocial is still telling me it's not available? any ideas there? My web host escalated this to their Teir 2 team. So not sure if this is still a host issue or something with EasySocial?

My webhost has gotten back to me with this message:

hi Sean,

Bz2 has been enabled.

Al of the following is enabled:

Phar-based phar archives enabled
Tar-based phar archives enabled
ZIP-based phar archives enabled
gzip compression enabled
bzip2 compression enabled

Thank you,

Unfortunately that issue with Zip Libraries is still present, I asked them to restart my instance just incase they didn't already. Hopefully that will fix being able to update EasySocial.

Hello Sean,

Try viewing your phpinfo and see if zip is really there?

Well I have a few "zip" extensions.

This is from my phpinfo from the Joomla backend:

Registered PHP Streams: https, ftps, compress.zlib, compress.bzip2, php, file, glob, data, http, ftp, phar

would bzip2 be what is needed?

Looks like what's installed is what my web host last told me? I have no idea whats going on with that.

Ah!

I think I'm onto something...

When I look at my local install phpinfo page, I see this:

Registered PHP Streams php, file, glob, data, http, ftp, zip, compress.zlib, compress.bzip2, https, ftps, phar

Whereas my hosted info is:

Registered PHP Streams https, ftps, compress.zlib, compress.bzip2, php, file, glob, data, http, ftp, phar

(Note that zip is missing).

I'll notify my host.

Hi Sean,

Yeah, you will need to install the zip library into your server so that Joomla can extract the zip file properly.
Sure, let us know if you still encounter the same issue after you've installed zip library into your server

Hope this help and have a nice day
Sam

Hi Sam/Mark,

I've finally got zip installed. I'm able to proceed with the installation. However, now when trying to install using the Network I'm given this error: There are some changes made on the launcher for the latest version. Please re-download the launcher from our site at http://stackideas.com/dashboard. What do I do with that file after downloading?

I also tried downloading the latest full package to install via directory I put the full package in the specified directory, I can get as far as extracting queries.zip then it gives me an error.

Now, when I reload the installation screen, it shows that no packages are found within the setup/packages directory.

Please advise

Hello Sean,

We just released 1.2.3 today, so you might want to download the latest installer from http://stackideas.com/dashboard again

That's the version I was trying to install. I tried that about an hour or so ago.

I was able to install via the network on my local install no problem.

Not sure what's up with the online version though.

Yes please. I tried again. Same issue. If you figure it out, please let me know how you fixed it, so I'll know what to do then...in the case that it happens again.

Thanks yet again, Mark.

Hello Sean,

Hm, to be honest we are not really sure what exactly happened but perhaps the archive was corrupted somehow?

Thanks for updating Sean By the way, if you use EasySocial, please do post a review at http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions/clients-a-communities/communities/25616 . This would most certainly motivate me and the team
