Hi,

ok this is what happend.
I wanted to kick out my guestbook so i created a new category in easydiscuss to move its content to there.

At first i realised i had to allow with guests (ACL) so i could add them myself without accounts,...otherwise it would show my name constantly. . Then i could add one entry to the "forum".

So i entered the guests "name" and bogus email and published it.
It was submitted, and done...great.

But when i hovered my mouse over the default avatar on the left it showed white popup window with:

Unable to load tooltip content

Thats a bug?
Edit: when i hoves my avatar it shows the correct info, so the system isnt aware of a guest submission?

And...can i set this category that these submissions are posted in upon approval?

Hello babylon,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as I was currently not available during the weekend as I was attending a Joomla conference in Thailand. Is it possible for you to provide us with the back end and FTP access to your site to check on this issue?

Hello Mark, nice to see you.....

Sure see info.....

But i hope my question is clear.......
can easydiscuss be set with a open category to post upon approval?
Cause thats what im looking for in this....

Its for me a way to kick out the guestbook as it gets to much negative attention to spammers, robots etc...
So 1 categoy called "zeg hallo" is created to function as a guestbook, and should have permission to post, but upon approval....
Feel free to set the settings required....

As for the white popup....good luck..

Hello babylon,

Thanks, I have fixed the guest popbox issue. Do you mean you want to moderate the discussions? You can actually just activate this option as shown in the screen shot here, http://screencast.com/t/yhLs7eETr .

Hello mark,
Well....my idea was to set it to moderate only the public post....
Its same posting on some forum if you have a pre-sale question. Registration wouldnt be required.
So is that possible?

And the fix you applied, is that for keeps or does it get deleted when i update?

Ah, unfortunately that's not possible to selectively choose a specific category for moderation The fix that I applied on the site is also applicable in the next beta release

Mark, wouldnt it be a great idea to to have that possibility added to its ACL ?
Thing is, with current situation anyone who wants to post something, (on whatever site Easydiscuss is used)....has to be registered. So no pre-sale questions etc if your selling something......
The group that would fit would be "public", and with a nice moderate button to prevent spam.....

Well, it really depends on how you look at it If we add this feature and only 0.01% of the users benefits from this, it wouldn't make sense

Agree...but if you would publish this question and maybe more about ideas.....and start a poll...
Then the response would be valid...
Maybe im wrong but i cannot imagine nobody would like this....it seems a valuable functuonality to have...

Although we always listen to feedbacks, we still need to carefully choose what we add in the extension
