I'm stuck. I'm getting this error when trying to configure AutoPosting:

Given URL is not allowed by the Application configuration.: One or more of the given URLs is not allowed by the App's settings. It must match the Website URL or Canvas URL, or the domain must be a subdomain of one of the App's domains.

The URL of the dialog box is: https://www.facebook.com/dialog/oauth?scope=publish_stream%2Cmanage_pages%2Cuser_groups%2Cuser_status&client_id=1421800138092128&redirect_uri=https%3A%2F%2Fskyhiviews.com%2Fadministrator%2Findex.php%3Foption%3Dcom_easyblog%26c%3Dautoposting%26task%3Dgrant%26type%3Dfacebook%26call%3DdoneLogin&response_type=code&display=popup

Any suggestions?
Hello Mike,

It's most likely that you did not enter your "website" url as you can see here, http://screencast.com/t/1k277y4Sn . Also, after the URL works, you will need to submit your app for review as it seems like Facebook is making things a little more difficult now for site owners to "auto publish" items as you will now need to submit your app for review https://developers.facebook.com/docs/apps/review . This is their new requirement

Yes, I figured this out. BTW, integration with Facebook is a real PIA! Now I'm stuck trying to figure out how to submit a request for approval. This isn't really an app but just a "stub" for EasyBlog to communicate with (I don't need to write any code?), right?

I'm sorry to be confused. I write web services code all day long but I can't seem to figure this seemingly easy task out. All I want is for my Blog posts to appear on my Facebook page.

Also, it appears (according to many posts on the Internet) that you can't create an app for a Facebook business page. How do I make my blog work with a business page?

Hello Mike Peters,

Sorry for late reply to this,
Since the Facebook NEW API 2.0 released, we have to create a Facebook and submit for review and wait for Facebook approval.
Is it possible provide us with your Joomla backend, Facebook access so we can help you configure with this?
Because we are still investigate and testing how to make this work in Facebook NEW API 2.0.

You can put the information in the optional information field below. Don't worry about privacy. Only Support team can view the information.

Arlex,

I added "Site Details" for access to my Joomla backend. My personal facebook page that I'm testing with can be accessed via:
xxx
xxx

This is just an account that I created because I couldn't figure out how to create an app under my business account. I have an outstanding app approval request outstanding for this account.

Thanks,

Mike

Hello Mike,

Sorry for late reply to this,
I have checked in your Facebook apps. it seems like you already submit for review and waiting for approval right?

You have submitted your app to the Facebook review team. On average, submissions will be reviewed within 7 business days. The following items will be reviewed

May i know do you have upload any photo for explanation to Facebook how you use this apps? If no, can i cancel the submission and help you edit something then re-submit again? Please advise.

I heard back from FaceBook regarding my app and now I'm more confused than ever. Here's what they said:

Results from your last submission

Today - Click to ViewClick to Hide

General You do not need to request these permissions because your blog or CMS is integrated with an app that you admin. As an App admin, you can already access these permissions and post to your Timeline or a page you admin. You can provide access to additional users by adding them as developers of your App.

The following items were not reviewed due to general issues with your app:•
publish_actions

What does this mean?

Thanks,

Mike

Hello Mike Peters,

If okay, don't worry of that
when you received that Facebook response on your apps, then i tried to revoke access from your Easyblog configuration page and Sign in with Facebook again, then i tried to publish a blog post, it seems like that error message didn't show out anymore, but it still can't success to autopost to Facebook.

I'm suspected that was because you only submit publish_action permission for review, so i have tried to help you set another 2 permission and submit for review again. Please let us know when the Facebook give you the response.

Hope this time will be success.

We got the same reply as before:

As an App admin, you can already access these permissions and post to your Timeline or a page you admin. You can provide access to additional users by adding them as developers of your App.

user_groups

publish_actions

manage_pages

What I don't understand is how to add developers to my app. I keep getting an error "param must be non empty". Where do we go from here?

Hello Mike Peters,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here.
I have tried to access in your FTP, it seems like it still not working.
Can you provide again the login credential in site Details here? check my screenshot : http://screencast.com/t/tfe3B9DbaJ (I using the Filezilla)

Also, i have tried to access your extplorer component from your backend, but hitting blank page.
https://www.skyhiviews.com/administrator/index.php?option=com_extplorer&tmpl=component

Regarding with my Facebook question in previous reply, may i know you provided that Facebook account, is it a facebook account or facebook page account?
Because for the Facebook have 2 type of account, one is the personal account and the facebook page account.

I can only provide SCP or SFTP services for file transfer. Are you able to use one of those protocols?

I believe the Facebook page is an account and not just a page.

Thanks,

Mike

I see you have made progress today. Thanks for all of your hard work. Now that we have this working with a personal account, what has to happen to make this work with a business account? I've provided the site details for the business account.

Hello Mike,

It seems like this business page is not created by your Facebook account, so the admin will not have the privilege autopost to this business page.

If you would like the user autopost in this business page, you have to provide that which Facebook account created this business page owner, so only can success to autopost to this business page.

OK, again, thanks for all of your help. I took a new approach with my business and Facebook. I deleted my business account and created a new business page from my personal account (mike@petersfamily.com - password is the same that you have been using). I also created a new app in my personal account called Mike Peters Photography Blog. I configured EasyBlog with the new application ID (1421800138092128) and pointed it to my business page (page ID 863094470372802), however, the blog posts aren't appearing. I don't get any errors, the posts just don't appear.

With the code changes that you made, do you need to do something specific to make this work?
