Hi the popular posts module is not recognizing a post length argument. I currently have the post length set to 40 char. As you can see here http://test.geoffreysmith.eu/ at the bottom of the page, they are anything but 40 char in length.
Hey Geoffrey,

Do you mean you would like to set post title length or post content length?

Can you provide us with your Joomla backend and FTP access so we can better have a look?

By the way, please remember to assign your domain to your license to obtain for support in the future. You can do so by accessing your license area at http://stackideas.com/dashboard

Hey Geoffrey,

I've tried to find this ticket #224594 from our helpdesk, but I couldn't find it.

Currently we do not have any option for truncate for the post title, may i know is it you configure this 40 character from the module settings?

By the way, in the future you can just include your site's access once at http://stackideas.com/dashboard/site rather than needing to keep adding them in your replies

Hey Geoffrey,

It seems like you provided that screenshot is show broken now.

However, can you take a look of my screenshot below, is it you referring that settings?

If yes, that `Total characters` options is for when you display the post content on your Easyblog popular module, the content will get truncated to show only 40 characters, hope this help.

So how can I limit the text length, at the moment it is breaking the layout and making the bottom bar far to high as most of the titles stretch over two lines.

hey Geoffrey,

Unfortunately that was not possible to limit the title length at this point of time.

Perhaps you can try download my attached file and replace into JoomlaFolder\modules\mod_easyblogmostpopularpost\tmpl\default_item.php and see how it goes? (Remember backup your original file first before replace it.)

Try apply this following css code in your current template css file

div#fd.eb.eb-mod.mod_easyblogmostpopularpost .mod-item+.mod-item {
padding-top: 5px !important;
}

After you applied, remember clear your Joomla and browser cache.
