Hi,

Referring to attached, i am unable to edit the group info? PLease check. there are alot of groups that i created having this kind of problem. I have updated Easysocial to the latest version but still the same.
It seems like only 'Accountants' group category having this issue, may i know how do you create new group (Accountants) in your site?

By the way, can I have your FTP access as well because I would like troubleshoot on this.

Hey Yubi,

is it possible upload your sql dump file into your FTP server?

Because I would like take a look which table you imported these data into your database.

Also I just tried to connect with your FTP server, it didn't show me on your Joomla root folder, you can refer on my attached screenshot below.

Hi,

1. I do not know how to set the FTP to enable full view. Can you use extplorer component in Joomla Backend admin to go in to view the files?

2. I do not know where to get the dump SQL file. Uploaded using CSV to the tables.

Hey Yubi,

Hm, you shouldn't import your group data using this way, It will breaking the flow if you upload through database, because if you create a new group, the system will store different data in different table into database.

Hi Mark,

I was able to do this earlier and realised that it's just the Group Info are not appearing correctly.

Much appreciated if Stackideas can provide an idea of workaround or some other alternatives from the databases table itself. As it's really painful to be able to manually create groups for a community 1-by-1.

Thanks

Unfortunately we do not provide support for this as this is beyond the scope of our support. However, you need to also add the relations under #__social_fields_steps to add the steps for the group.

I would also suggest that you post a feature request for this at http://stackideas.com/voices/easysocial so that we'll also receive feedback from customers who are looking for similar functionality

1. I just created a test group through the back end and it works fine. I created a test group under the category of "Small & Medium Enterprise (SME)" and it works fine.

2. In the future, if you have a different issue, please start a new ticket on the forums.
