ES>Profile Types>Custom Fields -- Standard fields: Terms
I've set the Terms field to be required for registration, but the asterisk indicating that it is required is not displayed during user registration and I don't see another way to indicate to the user that it is required. When left unchecked during registration the user gets a pop dialog indicating that some information is missing or incomplete, but nothing indicates that the Terms item is required to be accepted/checked. Also, I had to override language string PLG_FIELDS_TERMS_DIALOG_TITLE to change "Terms &/amp; Conditions" to display "Terms and Conditions" in the popup dialog after clicking the "terms and conditions" link.
Is there someway to clearly indicate to the user that the terms must be accepted during the normal registration process?
Hello Joshua,

Is it possible for you to provide us with the back end and FTP access to your site to check on this issue? You may store your site access at http://stackideas.com/dashboard/site so you don't have to provide these information all the time

Hello Joshua,

I don't quite get your issue here, sorry. When I tried to register on the site, the terms and condition does show up correctly as you can see here, http://take.ms/nrhmr

Mark,

You see it display correctly because I applied a language override to constant: PLG_FIELDS_TERMS_DIALOG_TITLE on the site, see screen shot. Please review issue again, as I've deleted the language override for the terms dialog and provided a screen shot displaying the issue.

Also, my first concern was that the terms and conditions field didn't indicate that the terms were required to be accepted/checked and there wasn't anyway to indicate this to the user. I looked at adding something to this effect to the custom field, Terms, but didn't see a way to do so. Is there some way to indicate checking the terms and conditions box is required?

Thanks,

I see, I get it now. I have applied some fixes internally on the language file and this will be addressed in the next release.

In addition to en-GB, I'm also using languages en-US and es-ES--I'll apply overrides to these.

What about the ability to indicate that the Terms field is required--maybe providing a title, allowing an asterisk, or description?

Thanks Mark

Noted, if the terms and conditions is required, it should have an asterisk mark on it.

Please start a new thread for separate issues in the future because our forums are linked to our internal issue tracker and we cannot link a single forum post to multiple tickets.
