I had a user login to my site and create a tag, category and blog. The blog was put in the new category and assigned the new tag. This users content was completely unrelated. So, I removed the tag and then deleted the blog. But, I am not able to delete the category. I get the following message:

"Error
Unable to remove category Interior Decorating and Remodeling News as some of the blog entries is still associated with this category"

Is there a concept of having to 'empty' the trash before the blog post is actually deleted?

I am actually starting to worry that somehow my site was hacked and the symptom I see is that somebody added the EasyBlog Tag, Category and Post. As soon as I try to delete them my site becomes unavailable from the front end. I will keep restoring the site and experimenting and try to contact my host to see if they have a way to detect whether my site was hacked. Back soon with more updates...

OK. I am still a bit baffled. I believe two separate problems:

1) Somebody logged into my site and created an EasyBlog Tag, Category and Blog. I was having problems with the site when I deleted those. I have since recovered the site. That user who signed in with the name "dira oliv locas" did activate their account properly. But, they must have been a spammer since the content had nothing to do with what is on our site. I have since inactivated the EasyBlog Tag, Category and Blog. I have also blocked the User.

2) I was unable to login to the frontend as a user. I was getting a large MySQL error. The errors appeared to indicate there was a problem with EasySocial. I had upgraded on Friday to version 1.2.18. I was not sure if maybe something went wrong there. So, I just downloaded it again and installed it again. Now I appear able to login to the front end again so that at least is good. I will let you know if case I have any more problems.

Hello Sean,

As for the unable to delete category issue, you need to view your trashed blog and delete it from there: http://screencast.com/t/KHdTjPRfM0gq . Once deleted, you will be able to delete the category. For your other issue, please keep us updated.
