Hello,

For some reason EasyBlog with Sh404sef creates two indexable links for the the frontpage Blog layout. For example, the main menu item "Press Releases" uses this non-sef URL by default: index.php?option=com_easyblog&Itemid=1043 which Sh404sef turns into /press-releases

This is all fine, except when you actually click the main menu item it goes to this non-sef URL index.php?option=com_easyblog&Itemid=1043&lang=en&view=latest which is written into /press-release/latest

I was able to create an alias to solve this, but I figured I'd bring it to your attention to see if their is anything that can be done to stop this from happening by default.

Thank you,
John
Hello,

If you are on the latest version of EasyBlog, we are no longer using view=latest in the toolbar any longer. Am I missing anything here?

Hello,

This is the message I get on the backend: You are using the latest version of EasyBlog 3.9.19775

I'm not using the toolbar. I was referring to the Joomla Menu item. You are correct, the joomla menu item uses the view=latest as well, but for some reason Sh404sef creates one without. So, I have one URL that is /press-releases (which I want) and the one the menu item links to /press-releases/latest.

I handled it with a Sh404sef alias, but it would be nice if the URL followed the Menu Item Alias like the other menu items do.

Thank you,
john

Hello John,

Ah yes I see the problem here! It seems like the rest of the links on the toolbar no longer uses view=latest but if you create a menu item, Joomla still uses the view=latest
