Seems that unless you manually set a post cover in the blog editor, twitter will not pick up an image when you share a blog post. Does not matter that the settings says "first image as post cover".

If this is a bug maybe you could fix it for the next release, as not all our bloggers uses the "post cover" button.

Cheers
Hi André,

It seems like JFBConnect is rendering a different set of opengraph and twitter card on EasyBlog page while EasyBlog is also rendering our own set of opengraph tag and twitter card. However the images link from JFBConnect is not correctly formatted hence causing the images issue in twitter. Refer my screenshot below.

http://take.ms/8jxYB

Further investigation on JFBConnect has lead me to the settings from backend > JFBConnect > Social Meta > configuration > enable twitter card settings is not correctly reflected hence causing the card to render twice in EasyBlog page. However the settings is now correctly reflected on the site after I re-save the settings and the image is now shows correctly as you can see from my screenshot here, http://take.ms/Iokyo .

Hope these help.

Hi there,

It seems that when the first time it will not shown you those images as twitter still not white-listed your links to be shared on twitter. I have validate those links at https://cards-dev.twitter.com/validator and it should shown correctly as you can see here http://take.ms/AU2yR.

Please advice.

The link you tested there is a normal joomla article, not easyblog.
If you try this one, https://shapingtheodds.com/blogs/uber-under-the-spotlight you will see that no image will show.

However, on this one there will be an image
https://shapingtheodds.com/blogs/how-i-became-a-podcaster
But that's just because I manually edited the bloggers post and added his picture as post cover.

Thanks a lot for the help!
Funny thing is that now suddenly no image was shown in twitter for a blogpost with both a post cover and a content image, but when I turned of "first image as post cover" in the settings everything seems to work.

Thanks for solving this. Your customer service is outstanding!
