Hello,

We have upgraded to 2.0.6 (finally... lol) and we can't get twitter signup or login to work.

We have created the app, we have the consumer key and secret key. I added those in and it failed.

I created a new app and tried it all again -- still fails.

Facebook signup/login does work correctly.

I am attaching 2 screenshots. Thank you,

Bridgette
Hello Bridgette,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here. Can you please provide the screen shots of your Twitter app settings please?

I did show you the settings. Do you mean the app on dev.twitter?

Thanks,

Can you try to disable the option "Enable callback locking"? After saving, try refreshing to see if it is really unchecked. Twitter has this very strange bug with these checkboxes or somehow they are cached.

Try following step and see how it goes :

1. Create another new Twitter app
2. Fill in all the details as what you configured from your existing app
3. Remember fill in "Callback URL" field as well
4. Remember generate the token (screenshot : http://take.ms/yVjLg )
5. Configure the public/secret key in Easysocial Twitter login setting

Ok, thank you anyway.

I'll leave it turned off since it's broken.

You're welcome Bridgette.

Keep us update once you can provide us with your site and Twitter access in the future so it will be easier for us to troubleshoot this issue on your site. I will lock and mark this thread as resolved.
