Hi guys

I've got a strange problem with autoposting from Easyblog to Twitter. When I publish a post it appears twice on Twitter but with the URL pointing to the write-blog-post page.

The site is running:
Joomla 2.5.28
EasyBlog: 3.9.24862

I've attached a shot of the Twitter posts from one of my tests. The URL the posts point to is: http://www.irms.org.uk/groups/london/blog/write-blog-post/entry/test-post-2 (which results in the login screen because it's a content creation page...).

This happens when posting from the frontend of the site.

Is this something you've come across before?

Cheers, Emily
Hello Emily,

I am sorry for the delay of this reply.

I've added the fix by adding one hidden menu item of easyblog frontpage and set the easyblog seo setting (backend > easyblog > settings > seo > advanced settings) to "default". The url should be working fine now during the autoposting as you can see from the blog example here, http://www.wfdevelopment.co.uk/irms201503/groups/london/blog/entry/blog-test-5 .

Hello Emily,

Can you provide us with joomla backend, FTP and twitter access so we can check on the issue directly? because we never hit this issue before. and I think something wrong with your EasySocial SEO configuration.

Looking forward for your reply

Hi Izzan

Thanks for your reply. If it's not something you've come across before then it is likely to be something at this end (it's Easyblog I'm talking about by the way, not EasySocial).

I don't want to waste your time, so I'll do some more testing myself and then come back to you with logins if I need to.

Thanks for your help.
Cheers, Emily

Hi Izzan

I've got a dev version of the site set up and it's doing the same thing. I've reconfigured it to post to my own twitter account and also changed the Easyblog theme used.

Can you suggest anything else I can try? I'll give you the access in the Site Details below.

This is what I've found:
- if I blog from the backend it's absolutely fine
- if I blog from the frontend it sends the wrong URL to Twitter

To blog from the front end please go here once logged in: http://www.wfdevelopment.co.uk/irms201503/groups/london/blog/write-blog-post

Thanks for taking a look.
Cheers, Emily

And thanks for looking at this. I've applied the steps you mention to the live site and I'm pleased to say it's solved the problem.

Thanks again for your great support!
