Hi,

I have just installed the Twitter and Facebook apps for easysocial. I have configured them and made Twitter default app (is this correct?) but the icons are not showing in Easysocial. Is there another setting that needs to be tweaked?

Kind regards

Mel
HI there,

You have to link/register in your site with your Facebook/twitter first then those icons will shown for you. Please give it a try and see how it goes

Hi Abdul,

where do I do that? It doesn't show in the configuration boxes. Or do you mean on the Social setting in the Easysocial Settings area?

Hi there,

Maybe i have not explain you clearly. In order fo you to shown those APPs, you need to be logged in using your Facebook/twitter first by logging using this button http://take.ms/bSt0L. If in case those button not shown, you have configured your Facebook apps first as follow https://stackideas.com/docs/easysocial/administrators/social-integrations/facebook-app-configuration

In case you required some helps, maybe you can provide us with your Facebook access credentials in order for us to configure/setup those apps for you.

Please advice.

Yes, you need to authenticate with your Facebook account in order for auto postings to work. By granting access to the app, you are basically allowing your site to post on behalf of you on Facebook. Without such permissions, Facebook will never allow any stranger to post on behalf of you

Though, don't get confused over the normal sharing icons. Those are still possible because the actions are being performed by yourself.
