Tweaking easy blog to my likings

Mark & the gang,

I am trying really hard not to bother you guys, because I have found alot of answers to my questions by looking through previous posts. I have found how to switch editors, how to designate an image per blog, how to use the read more button, how to wrap text around an image, how to remove the tool bar, how to remove ratings and a host of other things because of this forum. Unfortunately in the last 13 hours I have not found any answers to the questions below. Can you please help me.

I think some of your documentation needs some updating.

First I was trying to create a "pages" category like you have listed in your documentation link, but I am using Joomla 3.2.3 and those screenshots look nothing like my screen.

Second I understand why there are so many bells and whistles which along with the recommendation from another EB user made me purchase this component, but I want a clean professional minimal looking blog. Something that gets to the point and delivers the information a visitor came for. How do I turn some of these things off. THis is what I am ultimately trying to obtain.

For example......

A great feature request would be to be able to make a category from with in the "write new post" page. So many times today I created a test post only to leave it in an uncategorized category because I didnt want to save as a draft go create my category and then come back to my post. Very annoying that writing a post for a new category is a multi window multi step process when it should be a one window streamlined process. Just my two cents maybe if we can think about that for future releases.

I don't want a map in my blog post I was hoping the Easyblog map post was so people could click on pins on the map and bring them to a post of that area. King like equating pins with tags if that makes sense. I wasnt expecting this.
