In order for you to disabled that, you have to edit again your post and select those images, and un-tick 'Image Popup' as shown https://screencast.com/t/ehRNvKMWJ. Please give it a try and see how it goes

I would also like to turn off the 'post cover' being a 'pop up' - can you please advice how this can be turned off on all posts - it's not relevant on our blogs - they are already the size we require.

I have been through all the settings and can't find anywhere to do this globally or in isolation per post.

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here. You can try to download the file below and upload into /templates/JOOMLA_TEMPLATE/html/com_easyblog/blogs/entry/

This will ensure that EasyBlog doesn't render the post cover in the entry pages as a popup.
