Is it possible to start out users so that they don't get email notifications? Basically, we want the toolbar notifications to be "opt out" and the email to be "opt in."
Did you try to access the Alerts section at the back end of EasySocial? If you access the Alerts section at the back end of EasySocial, you will be able to set the default values by toggling the publish button. Please see my screen shot here, http://screencast.com/t/bU9Mng9TM

Hello Tim,

You can set the default alerts by accessing the "Alerts" area at the back end of EasySocial

I'm sorry, I don't think that's quite it. In the attached image, I show how I would like user notifications to be set up by default. The users would then be allowed to turn on emails if they wish. I hope that makes more sense!

Ah, you're absolutely right. There is a separate panel under easysocial "settings" called "alerts" and I was looking there. Thank you for the screenshot! Happy new year!
