I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it weekends for all of us here and we have been occupied with JoomlaDay events in Malaysia during weekends.

It seems like the preview content is coming directly from tumblr itself as embedded content, http://screencast.com/t/8cU74zvby . Unfortunately easysocial cannot control the content shown inside the embedded content as the content is directly generated by the url itself. The only things that easysocial can control is their opengraph properties for contents description. You can find the settings from the backend > easysocial > applications > user - links > stream and enable the truncation options. However this is only applied to the opengraph content, not embedded content.

I am little bit concerned that if I embed complete posts in the EB stream that someone could get upset due to copy right issues.
