I used to be able to go to tumblr.com and click on link and post my link to tumblr.com. So I would take an article of mine and post it on tumblr.com Since the upgrade to EasyBlog 5 I have not been able to do that, it asks me to input all the information like title and a picture, where as when I would post my link it would do it for me automatically. Not sure if this is a EasyBlog thing or not but it stopped working after EasyBlog 5 was introduced, so was not sure if it was me or EasyBlog doing it.

Zack
Hey Zack,

Are you referring feed importer?

If no, can you elaborate more detail regarding with your question at above?

So take a look at the pictures below. What I do is go to my site pick an article and copy the link. in this case I am going to use this link http://theelectronicgarage.com/gaming/alexander-the-burden-of-the-father. So I will go to tumblr.com choose the link item, and then paste my link and this is what I get. ( see image )

How do I fix this, because in EasyBlog 3 it would allow me to put my link in tumblr.com but when I upgraded to EasyBlog 5 it does not anymore. I used to get this (See Image below). So not sure how to fix this or if there is something else I can do to fix it, maybe tumblr.com updated there site, not sure but it seemed to stop working after I installed EasyBlog 5.

Hey Zack,

I am really sorry that delay of this reply,

It seems like only your site blog link can't let Tumblr retrieve the blog description data, because the server response this error :
error: "HTTP/1.1 404 Not Found

you can take a look following attached screenshot.

May i know do you have update some setting from your server restrict other crawler retrieve the data from your site?

Hey Zack,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here.

Perhaps we try solve this issue first from your another thread -> http://stackideas.com/forums/easyblog-and-blank-site#reply-223603 , because I suspect something to do with your server.

Hey Zack,

I noticed your webhosting already solved that blank page issue, may i know do you have consult with your webhosting provider regarding this error message from the server response?

I consulted with my web host he told me it was a permissions thing and that he upgraded all the permissions on my site. Everything seems to be in working order.

As for tumblr.com not working not sure why I am getting that 404 error. Could it be with something I have set up incorrectly or is tumblr.com blocking me?

Hey Zack,

I am sorry that delay of this reply,

To be honestly, this is out of our control is because we can't troubleshoot on tumblr.com.

For example, If I paste one of your site blog URL in Facebook, it crawl correctly the content and image.

Perhaps you can try clear all the cache from server and your browser and see is it help or not.

If no, perhaps you can consult with tumblr.com support https://www.tumblr.com/help and provide them regarding these screenshot : http://stackideas.com/forums/tumblr-com#reply-223283

And this link is work -> http://demo.stackideas.com/easysocial-1-4-development-timeframe (Both Easyblog version is same)
