Hi there,

First of all, we do not expect a reply on this forum question during the weekend. We understand that the support team is already pressed and the last thing we want is to put any unnecessary pressure on you guys. Your help is much appreciated.

We need your help on the following:

Issue 1:
We noticed that the truncation function (EasyBlog > Settings > Layout > Truncation) on composer posts is determined per number of blocks. Our user generated content is usually a text created into only one block, therefore, by selecting the maximum blocks to be displayed: to only one block, then we end up displaying the whole posts in the listings.

If we select under the Automated truncation (Normal posts) (i.e. in the right table of the truncation tab) the truncation to be determined per number of characters, it does not seem to correspond to the user generated content/posts and therefore, this is not functioning. Any suggestion on how to resolve this issue? Can we have truncation to be determined per number of characters?

Issue 2:
In the back end, under the path EasyBlog > Settings > Layout > Post options, we selected the option "hide" in the slot "Show post hits" i.e. we disabled the post hits. But, this is disabled only when we view the post i.e. in the page URL of each post. The option is not disabled in the listing of the posts i.e. in the category page URL. Is this how it is supposed to be? Or are we facing a sort of incompatibility?

Thank you in advance.

If you are using the new "composer editor" to compose the blog posts, the only way is to actually truncate the contents by blocks. The idea is to actually split up the contents by separate blocks and not just utilize a single text block to post your blog post. The "Automated truncation" is only applicable to posts that are created with legacy editors (WYSIWYG editors)

In EasyBlog 5, we have massively enhanced the settings by placing most of the layout options (for listings) within the menu itself. If you edit the menu in Joomla, you can actually find most of these configurable stuffs across all the tabs including hits

This will allow greater control over how you want your listings to look like and entries to look like.
