I always appreciate your accurate and quick responses. Thank You!

When I truncate, it is using INTROTEXT - It is small and not visualizing appealing in my view. How do I get it to use CONTENT TEXT. I would like the articles that show up on Frontpage & Entry page that have the read more below them to also incorporate the CONTENT VIEW. How do I remedy this?

Currently I am getting that effect (Verdana 14px #333) by using the 'Read More' button when I create the article. I spend a lot of time strategically placing it so that it lines up under the photo.

I would love to be comfortable with TRUNCATE taking over my page breaks. Thank you!

Hello Tom,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here. I am really sorry but I don't think this is possible out of the box If you really need to truncate the content part rather than the intro text, you need to edit the file /components/com_easyblog/helpers/helper.php and modify the codes in the method truncateContent

Are you already splitting up the introtext / content in the blog itself?

I spent 2.3 hours in that file and could not accomplish what I was looking for.

I want my text to end after a set number of characters. I want it to look like it does when viewing the blogs. Verdana 14px with all spacing and formatting. I would like it to auto truncate on both Frontpage & Entry page so I don't have to insert a READ MORE - break everytime and waste time trying to line it up to be consistent. I think that is the point of truncation. I do not want the text to be really small, smashed together and without any formatting. How do I make the exact changes to accomplish this or at this point feel free to go into the code and make the changes if it shortens things.

Thank you for all your continued help.

Hello Tom,

If the automated truncation is configured to truncate by "Characters", the html codes are stripped to avoid any unclosed html tag. If you want to retain the html codes as it is, you need to configure it so that it is truncated by paragraph
