It's been a while since I've updated my Kunena plugin for ES, so I decided to remove the old one and install a new version from the app section (version 1.0.216). When I try to upload the zip file it says "Warning JInstaller: :Install: Cannot find Joomla XML setup file".

Perhaps something in the xml file? Feel free to test it on my test site if you cannot replicate the install issue on your end. For now I don't have the Kunena plugin installed. The good news is that I did not attempt to install this update on my real site.
Hello Josh,

For the app, you have to install it from here: http://screen.stackideas.com/2015-01-05_1131.png

I got thrown off by the file name prefix (plg) which makes me assume it's a plugin. Thanks for directing me to the right direction in terms of installing the plugin.

So I'm curious why there is an app page on StackIdeas for Kunena if the Kunena app is natively placed in EasySocial? I know it's native because even if I forgot what I installed in the past, in one of my other sites I installed ES without the Kunena app, and sure enough it's there. I take it this is to bring awareness of the app and let folks be able to re-install it if they removed it from their ES installation?

Hello Josh,

We have placed it in the Stackideas App page is because if there is any update or bug fix for any particular app, the user just need to install the plugin without re-installing the whole Easysocial component.

Is there an internal "mark as resolved" in the forum that moderators use? I marked this as resolved when I accepted the reply above as the answer, hence why it shows the green check mark above and in the forum list.

Hi Josh,

. Actually there is no internal "mark as resolved". The reason I said that is because I want to keep track the ticket. Sometimes, people tend to continue the conversation eventhough the issue is already resolved. :P
