Trending hashtags module

Hello,

Since i can't post in the uservoice, and before forgetting the idea. i think it would be cool if there is a module to show the trending hashtags a community is using. the module will need some options to make sure hashtags ar rotating and new .. maybe we need to configure it to show popular hashtags per day/week/,, etc

Twitter is using it and i think its a cool idea to give people access to what is being discussed now

We will see if we can add this in the future but please understand that we will be prioritizing subscribing customer's voice ideas as we have tons of features to go through currently.

Hi Jason,

would it be hard to code such a module if i have to ask a developer to do it? What files should be looking at

Hello Muhanad,

If you are going to hire a programmer to do this, request them to take a look at the table #__social_tags. They will have an idea around it as I think it's probably just as simple as computing the frequency of each tags
