Hi,

I'm rebuilding my old joomla 1.7 site which uses easyblog 3.0.7164. Now I'm developing my site in Joomla 3.4.3 and installed my recently purchase easyblog 5.0.18. I'm trying to transfer my data from my old easyblog_post table to the new easyblog_post table but there are columns from my old one that is not included in the new one, would you be able to transfer my data?

Thanks
Hey there,

This is what you should be doing:

1. Export the old tables from your 1.7 site
2. Import these tables on your Joomla 3 database (clean site)
3. Install EasyBlog 5 on your Joomla 3 site

Hi,

Thanks for the info. I followed the steps that you provide. I can now see my posts, but still the embedded itunes and youtube in posts are gone. Also I noticed that the add block feature when creating posts is gone.

Hey there,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here. I tried to access your site and it seems like you are still using version 3.0 instead of 5.x. Can you please advise if I missed on anything here?

Also, which post contains the itunes / youtube items?

Hi,

Yes what I gave you is my current live site which is still running in 3.0. I'm currently rebuilding my site using the 5.0 in my local desktop. I have lots of posts which have itunes and youtube embedded on it.

Hey there,

Hm, sorry but not really sure what do you really want us to do here? Do you want us to update to EasyBlog 5 for the site that you have provided to us?
