Hi guys,

Sometimes when a user is inactive for a while the ES toolbar will lock even though the user is still logged in to Joomla. We have a stay open plugin that keeps the joomla session alive as long as the browser is open. Is there a way to also keep EasySocial from timing out?

Thanks,

James
Hello JH,

Sorry for late reply to this,
That was strange, because If i set the session lifetime to 999 from backend in my local, it will not show toolbar locked shortly, only after the session time up, you may login again in the site.
May i know which plugin are you using for keeps the joomla session alive as long as the browser is open? Also is it possible provide us with your Joomla backend so we can try reproduce this? Please advise.

Thank you Arlex. My site details are below. The plugin is called "User - Stay Open(Remember login until browser closes)".

IMPORTANT: Please be very careful as the site has been released to the public today and we're taking many registrations. I don't want to disrupt the service for the sake of this small issue.

Thanks again,

James

I say "small issue" because the site is working fine overall. It's just when a user times out that it's a slight inconvenience (they have to log out, then log in again on the home page).

Thanks!

Hi,

Still having this issue occasionally, on the iPad. I'm logged into joomla but the ES toolbar is locked. How do I set the session lifetime in ES to 999?

Thanks,

James

Thank you,

Hello JH,

Unfortunately that wouldn't set the session lifetime in Easysocial.
Is it this only happening in Ipad even you set session lifetime to 999? have you try in smart phone device?

Or can you try change your login module to EasySocial module then tick Keep me logged in and is it help much you here?
You can search this module in your backend > Module manger > EasySocial Login
