Is there a tool to import comments into EasyBlog? I have previously used Komento, but have moved away from that in favor of EasyBlog's built-in commenting system.
(I could put the comments into CSV or XML format for import if EasyBlog is not capable of importing from the Kommento fields in the database.)
Thanks,
Ari
Hello Ari,

Unfortunately we do not have migrator for Komento into EasyBlog currently Why would you move away from Komento? It's actually a much greater comment system for EasyBlog.

Do you have a tool to import comments from CSV or from XML?
(I moved away from Komento to simplify because EasyBlog had its own comments - less components to deal with)

Hello Ari,

Ah, I see but rather than "simplifying that", perhaps you should have Komento as a global commenting system on your site? Unfortunately right now we do not have CSV / XML importer for comments because comments are a pretty complex migration operation as we need to ensure that it links to the blog post from EasyBlog and the relationship between a child / parent comment.

OK, I just exported the comments, formatted them in CSV and linked them to the proper blog post id, and imported them into the easyblog_comments table using the phpMyAdmin import function. Appears to work just fine.
